I’m currently living in Korea (but an IBO in the US). In Korea they have many Amway Plazas or AP’s as they call it that are well designed, very hands-on, and has meeting/seminar rooms for different groups. I’ll be posting some photos of the Seoul Gimpo AP in the near future on my blog!

We have a couple of POPs (Points of Presence) in Australia, with plans to expand the idea. The original one in Castle Hill (western Sydney).. we have a new one South of Brisbane (north of the Gold Coast) and one being build in Perth.

It really is great. New propects can get a hands on experience… when they come to the center, they’re generally amazed – and it gives them a reassurance that this is a legit business with real products, and real people and a real company behind it. The Diamonds here are always at the Centers taking full advantage of it!!

Oh, and the order, then pick up thing is great! IBO’s in Sydney and Brisbane are spoilt. I’ve done a couple of trips to Brisbane, and stopped in at the center up there to buy my XS and protein bars etc etc…. much better than lugging it up in carry on!

I wish we could get something like this in the United States. It is really classy looking.

We used to have an Amway Regional Service Center in the Des Moines, Iowa area. It was great to be able to go there and pick up my orders. I was really disappointed when they closed it and switched all of us in the Midwest back to the Michigan Service Center.

In the U.S. we can shop online at Ace Hardware and have it shipped to the store which is great, but we have to wait until it arrives in the store from the time we placed the order, which is about one week. The real advantage to that is that we don’t pay any shipping charge.

The most convenient Partner Store now is Office Depot. We can request a card that says “Amway Global Brick and Mortar” on it and it is swiped like a credit/debit card at the register to get our PV/BV. We don’t even have to place the order online. We just go to the local store, put the items in a cart, go to the register, pay for the items, swipe the card, and get our PV credited, which shows up about a month later. Even though Office Depot might be more expensive on some things, I buy them there anyway to get the PV.

That’s why I think the Amway stores in the U.S. would give us a real boost to new growth.
