FACT: eSpring – A Reader’s Digest “most trusted brand”

 Reader's Digest conducted a survey of over 7 people throughout Asia to establish the region's most "Trusted Brands".

In 26, eSpring, the Water Treatment System available exclusively from Amway and Quixtar, was a Gold Winner in Malaysia and Taiwan, a Platinum Winner in Thailand, and a Gold Winner for the Asian region as a whole.

The Gold Trusted Brand award goes to brands that score well above their competitors, while the Platinum Trusted Brand award is given for truly outstanding achievement and goes to competitors that have scored at least double that of their nearest rival.

The winners of Reader's Digest's 8th annual survey of brand performance have been voted Trusted Brands by our readers in seven Asian markets. This year, India joins Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

Reader's Digest has two categories of awards – Gold and Platinum. The Gold Trusted Brand award goes to brands that score well above their competitors, while the Platinum Trusted Brand award is given for truly outstanding achievement and goes to competitors that have scored at least double that of their nearest rival.

Reader's Digest assigned its awards based on 7, responses to questionnaires and telephone interviews from across Asia. Consumers were asked to nominate their most Trusted Brand in 42 product categories. They were then asked to assign a score for each brand for the six core qualites:
trustworthiness, credibility of image, quality, value, how well each brand understnads consumers' needs, and its ability to innovate.

We asked these questions:

  • Is the brand safe for consumer use and does it consistently deliver on the promises it makes in its promotions?
  • Is the brand's identity believable and appropriate?
  • Are the brand's products or services well-made or well-designed?
  • Does the brand offer good value for money?
  • Does the brand respond to and satisfy customers' needs?
  • Does the brand regularly introduce new products, features or services?
  • Reder's Digest has given awards in each market as well as on a regional basis.

    The Reader's Digest Trusted Brands survey is the only regional annual study to measure such a broad spectrum of consumer tastes.
