Amway wins an Emmy!

Well, strictly speaking it’s not Amway’s Emmy, and it’s not quite one of those Emmy’s, nevertheless, animator Matt Campbell of HDStudios has been awarded an Emmy by the Michigan Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for his video The Company Line, produced for Amway’s parent company, Alticor. The video won in the category of Advance Media – Animator/Motion Graphic Designer.

According to a 2007 article in Post Magazine, HDStudios teamed up with M. Seiden and Associates and Lad Guest Productions to create the video for Alticor’s Global Growth Conference. The video was shown on a big screen at the live event, and was also loaded into video iPods and presented to members of Alticor’s top management.


The video offers Amway Business Owner’s an insight into what’s been happening within Alticor and Amway management over the last 2 years. While we read much about Amway Global’s transformation as it applies to the business opportunity, it’s clear that change is occuring within the corporation as well.

Amway Australia website ranked #2

Amway Australia’s website, called a2k.com.au until recently, has again been announced as one of Australia’s most popular websites by Hitwise, an independent site traffic monitoring company. From the announcement email –

Congratulations! Hitwise is pleased to announce that www.a2k.com.au is a Hitwise Top 1 Award winner for the quarter ending ending July – September 27.

During this period, www.a2k.com.au ranked No. 2 by visits among all Australian websites in the Hitwise Shopping and Classifieds – Wholesale and Relationship Sales industry.

The Hitwise Top 1 Award recognises websites from over 16 industries that are leaders in their industry and brings with it the benefit of using the Hitwise Top 1 Award shield (pictured right).

a2k has won these awards consistently since it was launched in April 2. Indeed if I recall correctly it did so well that a number of the “traditional” retailers pushed Hitwise to create the separate “Wholesale and Relationship Sales” category so that Amway’s performance didn’t continue to outshine them. Obviously the internet landscape has changed somewhat since then, but a2k has continued to perform. I’ve little doubt the new rebranded www.amway.com.au will continue to be just as successful.

Nutrilite – the World’s leading brand of Vitamin, Mineral, and Dietary Supplement

As Amway and Quixtar Business Owner’s know, Euromonitor International has certified that the supplement brand marketed exclusively by Amway and Quixtar, Nutrilite (marketed as Nutriway in Scandinavia and Australia/New Zealand), is the world’s best selling nutritional brand. Unfortunately “proof” of this claim has previously remained buried either in confidential reports or alternatively in Euromonitor reports that costs hundreds of dollars. Skeptics and critics of Amway and Quixtar have understandably queried the claim.

Well, earlier this year, Alticor asked Euromonitor to publicly verify the claim. Here it is.

Amway Europe and ePoint win International Project Management Award

Amway Europe and ePoint win the Main Award at the IPMA World Congress 27

The Amway On Line project, the new pan-European website for Amway IBOs and their clients, has won the PROJECT EXCELLENCE AWARD 27 at the World Congress of the International Project Management Organization – which was – held in Krakow, Poland on 18th June 27.

The Award was given to ePoint, the company which built this project for Amway. Amway management participated in this congress and were on stage when the award was presented.

Over 8 participants from nearly 5 countries gathered at the 21st IPMA World Congress at the Auditorium Maximum of Jagiellonian University in Krakow, when the winners of the Award were announced.

ePoint also received the second prize at the congress!

The project was successfully implemented in 1 Amway markets (Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Turkey) and will be implemented in all Amway European markets in the near future.

This is a great success for both Amway and ePoint !

eSpring and Nutrilite win Reader’s Digest Consumer Awards for the third year running

eSpring and Nutrilite have again been awarded “Trusted Brand” status in Asia as result of consumer surveys by the respected Reader’s Digest. 2007 represents the third year running that Nutrilite and eSpring have achieved this status.

Amway South Korea is #2 in Cosmetics & Toiletries

According to Euromonitor, in 2003 Amway was the second best-selling manufacturer of Cosmetics & Toiletries in the South Korean market, outselling global giants like Unilever and Proctor & Gamble. Market leader was Korean manufacturer Amorepacific. The top 5 was –

  1. Amorepacific
  2. Amway
  3. LG Household & Care
  4. Proctor & Gamble
  5. Aekyung Group

Unlilever, the only other international company in the top 1, came in at 7th. Amway Korea is globally one of Alticor’s best performing markets.
