Congratulations Team Nutrilite Olympians

Yesterday I started to write a post about Amway Global’s Team Nutrilite athletes that competed at the recent Beijing Olympic games. I instead up with a more personal post about the value of persistence – I quit. On Tuesday, Amway itself will publicly congratulation the athletes with a full page advertisement in USA Today (click the image to open the full version).

American sprinter Sanya Richards won Bronze in the Women’s 400m and Gold in the 4x400m relay, Asafa Powell was 5th in the Men’s 100m and anchored the Jamaican men’s 4x100m relay to a World Record. Team USA’s Jen Stuczynski lived up to her promise, winning Silver in the Women’s pole vault behind the incomparable Yelena Isinbayeva. Finally, Brazil’s Olympic football team, including superstar Ronaldinho, won Bronze in their competition. Together, Team Nutrilite’s athletes won 2 Gold, 1 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals. Congratulations! Continue reading Congratulations Team Nutrilite Olympians

Nutrilite publishes Newsletter #2

Nutrilite Newsletter #2

Last September, Nutrilite quietly published issue #1 of a PDF Newsletter on Nutrilite.com. I’d started to give up hope there would ever be an issue #2, but I just happened to check Nutrilite.com today, and there it was – Issue #2! This issue includes articles on Nutrilite farming practices, new technology for diagnosing osteoperosis, various awards won by Nutrilite, as well as information about a recent convening of the Nutrilite Scientific Advisory Board.

Nutrilite passes $3 billion in sales

As you may have already seen on Amway Watch and elsewhere, Nutrilite has now passed US$3billion in annual sales for the first time. I’m not sure if this was for last financial year, or a month-month rolling calculation, either way it’s an astounding result.

Interestingly. on the Nutrilite website, Alticor has embedded a “thank you” video to IBOs along with the press release – check it out.

Quixtar begins product advertisements

By now you’ve probably seen the Quixtar/Amway Global Now You Know TV and print advertisements. Well, a week or so ago Quixtar begin a new phase in it’s marketing push, with a “direct response” campaign promoting Nutrilite Brainiums DHA supplements for children. As well as the Television advertisement (below) there are direct mail and print ads for Brainiums and Nutrilite.

Interestingly, in the IBO area of the Quixtar website it says –

To fully leverage the national exposure and attention these key products will receive, make your status as a Quixtar IBO known! You can advertise yourself in local newspapers, bulletins, or play programs – anything that people in your area turn to for news or information.

It goes on to give contact information for getting ads reviewed and approved, but it’s been a long time since Amway/Quixtar has publicly encouraged IBOs to advertise in newspapers! If anyone has an example of an “approved” ad, I’d love a copy.

Nutrilite – the World’s leading brand of Vitamin, Mineral, and Dietary Supplement

As Amway and Quixtar Business Owner’s know, Euromonitor International has certified that the supplement brand marketed exclusively by Amway and Quixtar, Nutrilite (marketed as Nutriway in Scandinavia and Australia/New Zealand), is the world’s best selling nutritional brand. Unfortunately “proof” of this claim has previously remained buried either in confidential reports or alternatively in Euromonitor reports that costs hundreds of dollars. Skeptics and critics of Amway and Quixtar have understandably queried the claim.

Well, earlier this year, Alticor asked Euromonitor to publicly verify the claim. Here it is.

Nutrilite launches new newsletter

Nutrilite has launched a new newsletter! The first issue is available via a PDF file on the Nutrilite website. (update: it’s gone, you can get it from Amway Wiki instead) It appears to be a two page double-sided flyer. On the cover is a short article on Nutrilite’s high quality standards. Page 2 describes a new study from China on the efficacy of Double X. Page 3 looks at “DeTox diets” and Page 4 promotes the Nutrilite Health Insititute Center for Optimal Health and the Nutrilite sponsored OC marathon. This looks like a good new addition to the marketing of Nutrilite and Nutriway products. Click on the image to the left to download it and read yourself.

Nutrilite/Nutriway – used and endorsed by 2004 Olympic champion, Liu Xiang

Athens’ 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist and former world record holder in the 110m hurdles, Liu Xiang, has joined multiple world record holder in the 100m, Asafa Powell, as a global spokesperson for Nutrilite and Nutriway products.

Nutrilite (sold as Nutriway in some countries), a leader in research and development on health and nutrition, is working closely with the China Track and Field Association to provide nutritional support and consulting services tailored to fit Xiang’s specific athletic needs.

Prior to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, which he unfortunately withdraw from due to injury, Liu Xiang revealed in interviews that he had been using Nutrilite products since he was a child.

Along with the endorsements of top athletes such as Liu Xiang and Asafa Powell, Nutrilite , the world’s best selling brand of nutritional supplement , continues to top independent surveys for Consumer Satisfaction.

Nutrilite and Nutriway products are available exclusively from Quixtar and Amway Independent Business Owners
