For those who understand Italian ….

Here’s a short clip of part of the press conference announcing the AC Milan/Nutrilite partnerhip, including Amway handing over a $10,000 check to the Milan Foundation for Ronaldinho’s first goal for the club.

You can read the official announcement on AC Milan’s website (also in Italian) –

AC Milan – Comunicato Stampa – Nutrilite

Nutrilite, Ronaldinho, and AC Milan

Folk on Amway Talk and in the comments on this site have wondered what benefits the recently announced Nutrilite partnership with AC Milan might bring to Amway business owners. Well, the video below is highlights of last weekend’s game between AC Milan and Sampdoria. Team Nutrilite member Ronaldinho scored 2 of Milan’s 3 goals.

While the video is not the best quality, you can clearly see Nutrilite signage behind and around the goals. This youtube video clip alone has had over 70,000 views within 2 days of posting. Other similar clips of the game take the viewers to well over 100,000. As Andy Gamm reports in the comments over on the Amway Global Opportunity Zone, the clips have also been played over and over again on news and sports channels throughout Europe – with viewers likely totalling in the millions.

To top it off, Ronaldinho’s two goals means Amway is donating a further $20,000 ($10,000/goal) to the Amway One by One Campaign for children!

Team Nutrilite – What’s Next? 17.10.08

The following video teaser for Team Nutrilite/Team Nutriway has been posted on numerous Amway Europe video sites today. Interestingly, it doesn’t say “Who’s joining us next”, as the Ronaldinho teaser video did, instead it says “What’s Next?

Does this mean it’s not a person? A team perhaps? Or an event, like the recent Nutrilite Canadian Soccer Championships? Or perhaps it’s a new website, like the just launched spanish website – Nutrilite80.com? I tried to get some hints on the Team Nutrilite Blog on the Amway Global Opportunity Zone, Andy Gamm says he’ll blog about the announcement on Friday (10.17.08 for Americans!)

Anyone care to hazard some guesses?

Amway Global Mobile Brand Experiences hit the road

Robin Luymes, Manager, PR & Editorial at Amway Global, has posted a great blog about the new Nutrilite and Artistry Mobile Brand Experiences, which are currently touring North America with the Amway Global Tina Turner Live Tour. Robin has included some great photos of the Brand Experience buses, something regular reads of the TTAA sites got a sneak preview of last week, when one of my favourite Amway bloggers, Bridgett, posted some photos taken when she took a trip to Michigan – Amway Partners With Tina Turner: Mobile Marketing Is Simply the Best.

Robin also has an account up on Flickr where he has posted a whole heap more photos – check them out. In a piece of irony highlighted by Robin back in June, Amway’s Opportunity Zone blogs missed out on a Direct Selling Innovations award to another company that was utilising “a brand bus they used to crisscross the nation in support of their representatives”. What’s particulary ironic is that Amway pioneered this “innovation” nearly 50 years ago!

Congratulations Team Nutrilite Olympians

Yesterday I started to write a post about Amway Global’s Team Nutrilite athletes that competed at the recent Beijing Olympic games. I instead up with a more personal post about the value of persistence – I quit. On Tuesday, Amway itself will publicly congratulation the athletes with a full page advertisement in USA Today (click the image to open the full version).

American sprinter Sanya Richards won Bronze in the Women’s 400m and Gold in the 4x400m relay, Asafa Powell was 5th in the Men’s 100m and anchored the Jamaican men’s 4x100m relay to a World Record. Team USA’s Jen Stuczynski lived up to her promise, winning Silver in the Women’s pole vault behind the incomparable Yelena Isinbayeva. Finally, Brazil’s Olympic football team, including superstar Ronaldinho, won Bronze in their competition. Together, Team Nutrilite’s athletes won 2 Gold, 1 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals. Congratulations! Continue reading Congratulations Team Nutrilite Olympians

XS Gold – coming September 15

A few commentators on Amway Talk have been talking about a new XS Energy product due out soon for Amway Global in North AmericaXS Gold. Bridgett over on The World According to Bridgett has brought us the information that it will be launched September 15, as well as this great video “teaser” –

No word on exactly what it is, but obviously it’s a new flavour (Gold? perhaps it’s a beer! 🙂 ). Unfortunately we don’t have XS in my part of the Amway world, so I won’t get to try it!

All in Energy vs XS Energy

There’s been a bit of discussion recently on various Amway-related websites about an energy drink called All in Energy, apparently marketed primarily through poker tourneys. All in Energy, much like XS Energy (marketed by Amway and Quixtar) comes in multiple flavours, is sugar free, and has large doses of B-vitamins and various energy-boosting herbs.

The internet “chatter” came about because it was noted in an article about a poker tournament sponsered by All in Energy that the CEO of All in Energy is a man by the name of Greg Duncan. XS Energy is co-owned by Amway and WWDB Triple Diamond Greg Duncan. An almost identical product, and the owner/management have the same name? Surely not coincidence?
