Every Kick Counts – All 10 Million of them!

A week ago, as noted by Sven on Amway Talk, Amway Europe websites announced a new “viral” campaign centered around Team Nutrilite star Ronaldinho would be launched today, December 1, 2008.

As of 2200PM GMT the www.everykickcounts.com website has not yet been updated, however I’ve been doing some digging in this campaign definitely looks interesting. You know all those chain mail spam emails you get, claiming that if you forward the email to your friends, Microsoft or some other company will donate money to some great charity or another? And how they’re pretty much all hoaxes?

Amway is about to change all that.

As you might know, every time Ronaldinho kicks a goal, Amway donates $10,000 to the Amway One by One campaign for Children. Well, now the rest of us, and I mean everyone, has the opportunity to join in the fun. Apparently what’s going to happen is you can register on the Every Kick Counts website, and every time you send an email to a friend or message it to them via Facebook or Orkut, Amway will count that as a “kick” and donate to the campaign. Your friends of course can then “kick” the ball on to their friends and so on and so on, and you can track your “kicks” as they go around the world! From some text I believe will be on the new site-

Can you help us reach 10 million kicks? It’s easy. Just send one to your friends. They’ll get an email from you and Ronaldinho, encouraging them to kick it on. Because for every kick, NUTRILITE™ will make a donation to the AMWAY ONE BY ONE™ campaign. Then come back and check to see where in the world your kick has gone. Or start another one. Because Every Kick Counts.

What a great viral campaign! Truly showing the power of “word of mouth” networking, getting the Nutrilite and Amway brands out there, and continuing the great work Amway is doing for children in conjunction with UNICEF and other great charities around the world.

Amway blog roundup

For those awaiting my next post, as alluded to last week, my apologies. I injured my shoulder and haven’t been the most efficient computer user the last few days. Hobbies like blogging have taken a lower priority!

I promise to have something up soon, but in the meantime a very strong recommendation for Chuck’s new post, the first of Ten Points That Set Amway Apart.

Also today, keep an eye on http://www.everykickcounts.com – a new Nutrilite campaign featuring Ronaldinho is due to be launched some time today. Mikael over on his swedish Amway Global blog is also keeping an eye on it – Every Click Counts – Nutriway och Ronaldinho stöder barnen! as well as highlighting a book published last year in Sweden about the direct selling industry, including a section on Amway – Amway, Världens största Direkthandelsföretag!

Meanwhile, Network Marketing Ireland has a very encouraging report on the rebirth of Amway in Ireland – Amway Bounces Back and Founders Crown Ambassadors Dr Peter & Eva Müller-Meerkatz have posted a few photos from their recent trip to the European Diamond Advisory Council meeting in Munich. I think it would be fabulous if other top Amway leaders followed the example of the Müller-Meerkatz’ and start their own public blogs, telling the world what life is like as a successful Amway business owner.

Finally, don’t forget to keep up with the latest news on Amway Watch and the latest gossip on Amway Talk!

For those who understand Italian ….

Here’s a short clip of part of the press conference announcing the AC Milan/Nutrilite partnerhip, including Amway handing over a $10,000 check to the Milan Foundation for Ronaldinho’s first goal for the club.

You can read the official announcement on AC Milan’s website (also in Italian) –

AC Milan – Comunicato Stampa – Nutrilite

Nutrilite, Ronaldinho, and AC Milan

Folk on Amway Talk and in the comments on this site have wondered what benefits the recently announced Nutrilite partnership with AC Milan might bring to Amway business owners. Well, the video below is highlights of last weekend’s game between AC Milan and Sampdoria. Team Nutrilite member Ronaldinho scored 2 of Milan’s 3 goals.

While the video is not the best quality, you can clearly see Nutrilite signage behind and around the goals. This youtube video clip alone has had over 70,000 views within 2 days of posting. Other similar clips of the game take the viewers to well over 100,000. As Andy Gamm reports in the comments over on the Amway Global Opportunity Zone, the clips have also been played over and over again on news and sports channels throughout Europe – with viewers likely totalling in the millions.

To top it off, Ronaldinho’s two goals means Amway is donating a further $20,000 ($10,000/goal) to the Amway One by One Campaign for children!

Congratulations Team Nutrilite Olympians

Yesterday I started to write a post about Amway Global’s Team Nutrilite athletes that competed at the recent Beijing Olympic games. I instead up with a more personal post about the value of persistence – I quit. On Tuesday, Amway itself will publicly congratulation the athletes with a full page advertisement in USA Today (click the image to open the full version).

American sprinter Sanya Richards won Bronze in the Women’s 400m and Gold in the 4x400m relay, Asafa Powell was 5th in the Men’s 100m and anchored the Jamaican men’s 4x100m relay to a World Record. Team USA’s Jen Stuczynski lived up to her promise, winning Silver in the Women’s pole vault behind the incomparable Yelena Isinbayeva. Finally, Brazil’s Olympic football team, including superstar Ronaldinho, won Bronze in their competition. Together, Team Nutrilite’s athletes won 2 Gold, 1 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals. Congratulations! Continue reading Congratulations Team Nutrilite Olympians
