Amway goes K-POP

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock the past year, you’ve surely encountered the wildly successful Gangnam Style song and music video from Korean pop star PSY. Well, Amway Korea has apparently been swallowed by the K-Pop trend. I give you “Dreaming” one of the stranger (for us westerners) Amway videos that I’ve encountered –


For a little context, the video seems to be set in conjunction with the Busan International Film Festival, one of Asia’s most prestigious film festivals. Amway and Artistry were a major sponsor last year.

Amway One by One – touching the world.

The Amway One by One program for children has been running for 5 years and has been estimated to have reached over 6 million children. It’s a truly phenomenal program that Amway business owners can be proud of. The video below is a small production which tells a little it about the program  and some of the projects Amway and Amway business owners have been supporting.


The video has been entered in the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship First Annual Film Fest, with the winner being announced at the 2009 International Corporate Citizenship Conference on March 30 in San Francisco. The entries highlight the excellent work being done by companies around the world.  I haven’t watched them all yet, but so far the Amway entry would I think be a very worthy winner. Nutrilite, Ronaldinho, and AC Milan

Folk on Amway Talk and in the comments on this site have wondered what benefits the recently announced Nutrilite partnership with AC Milan might bring to Amway business owners. Well, the video below is highlights of last weekend’s game between AC Milan and Sampdoria. Team Nutrilite member Ronaldinho scored 2 of Milan’s 3 goals.


While the video is not the best quality, you can clearly see Nutrilite signage behind and around the goals. This youtube video clip alone has had over 70,000 views within 2 days of posting. Other similar clips of the game take the viewers to well over 100,000. As Andy Gamm reports in the comments over on the Amway Global Opportunity Zone, the clips have also been played over and over again on news and sports channels throughout Europe – with viewers likely totalling in the millions.

To top it off, Ronaldinho’s two goals means Amway is donating a further $20,000 ($10,000/goal) to the Amway One by One Campaign for children!

Amway wins an Emmy!

Well, strictly speaking it’s not Amway’s Emmy, and it’s not quite one of those Emmy’s, nevertheless, animator Matt Campbell of HDStudios has been awarded an Emmy by the Michigan Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for his video The Company Line, produced for Amway’s parent company, Alticor. The video won in the category of Advance Media – Animator/Motion Graphic Designer.

According to a 2007 article in Post Magazine, HDStudios teamed up with M. Seiden and Associates and Lad Guest Productions to create the video for Alticor’s Global Growth Conference. The video was shown on a big screen at the live event, and was also loaded into video iPods and presented to members of Alticor’s top management.


The video offers Amway Business Owner’s an insight into what’s been happening within Alticor and Amway management over the last 2 years. While we read much about Amway Global’s transformation as it applies to the business opportunity, it’s clear that change is occuring within the corporation as well.
