JoeCool18 is a prolific anti-amway/anti-quixtar blogger. This Saturday is the 4 year anniversary of his registration on the mostly anti-Quixtar QuixtarBlog, and in that time he has made over 5,000 posts there. In addition he has his own anti-Quixtar blog and contributes posts to two other anti-Quixtar blogs as well as posting commentary on literally hundreds of other sites where the topic of Quixtar arises. A google search for “JoeCool18 Quixtar” returns over 1600 pages. Clearly this man is causing untold damage to the businesses of Quixtar and Amway IBOs.
When I started this site, a poster called Steve registered soon after. Steve’s posts regularly defended positions taken by JoeCool18. After about 6 months I noticed that JoeCool18 on QuixtarBlog and Steve on this blog seemed to post at very similar times. Checking JoeCool18’s public profile on QuixtarBlog I saw his email was none other than Steve12301. I challenged Steve and asked if he was JoeCool, and he admitted he was.
NOTE: The rest of the post includes some quite sordid details about Steve aka JoeCool18. He has now admitted, at least partly to these so they are “in the public domain”. Do not continue reading below if you are easily offended.
A couple of days ago on his own blog, Steve aka JoeCool18 posted a blog titled JoeCool receives threat where he claimed to have emails from two separate sources. One allegedly threatened to tell his friends and family that he had been “spending all his free time in the red light district in his city.” and the other stated he “knew who he was” and that his “friends and family need to be careful”.
JoeCool, not surpisingly, accused IBOs of being the source of these alleged threats. Now, clearly the first “threat” was just plain odd and the second one completely over the line. Commentators on his blog quite rightly decried the alleged threats against his family and friends.
But then an interesting thing happened. Someone claiming to be the originator of the first email, but not of the second, posted comments and links supporting the allegation, including a link to a rather salacious MySpace profile they claimed was Steve/JoeCool’s.
Steve/JoeCool was quiet, but eventually responded to my query asking if the MySpace profile was his with a categorical “No”. The problem with this denial is that MySpace allows you to search by email, and a simple search showed the profile *was* his. Not long after, JoeCool blocked comments on the thread, turned on comment moderation on the other threads, and deleted all of the comments that referred to the allegation and supporting evidence.
These did not appear the actions of an “innocent man”. I already had my own opinions about Steve/JoeCool’s ethics and these serious allegations (and I use the term “allegations” advisedly, as the evidence was pretty strong) simply confirmed they were even worse than I thought. Now, normally I may have just left this issue lie, except for three reasons.
First is that the links provided indicate the alleged “threats” quite possibly may have nothing at all to do with Quixtar IBOs, yet Steve/JoeCool has left up his accusations that Quixtar IBOs of being behind them.
Second is that JoeCool left the comments up implying the alleged threats were my fault as a result of posting his email on this site when I “outed” Steve as JoeCool, ignoring the fact he had posted it publicly himself – thousands of times.
The third reason is Steve/JoeCool’s very next post, where he spuriously and somewhat childishly attacks my integrity, yet again. Steve/JoeCool professes to be a Christian, and regularly attacks the integrity of myself and Amway/Quixtar leaders and IBOs. The allegations clearly call his entire persona into question.
As it happens, as I post comments on JoeCool’s blog using a blogger account, google sends me copies and notifications of all new comments posted on a thread I’m participating in. So I have copies of all of the comments JoeCool deleted. The comments include serious allegations and links to some explicit websites, so I’m not going to post them in a public area on this website. However, I have taken the early comments from my website (before my first post and thus notification) and the rest of the thread and posted it in a members only area of the forums. If you wish you can read them, compare them with what Steve/JoeCool left on his site, and make your own judgement about the type of “man” and type of integrity Steve/JoeCool has.
here’s the thread. (note: no longer available)
UPDATE: Steve aka JoeCool18 has now come clean and admitted that 1. the MySpace profile was his and 2. he had been posting on the World Sex Guide website. He says about this site –
a forum where posters talk about strip clubs, bars, underground brothels. While I did participate in discussions, that is the extent of my participation. I did not actually visit any of these places and I used two user names there. I switched from one to another after having gotten some funny private comments from another poster. My participation there was brief and infrequent, and I have not been on that website for quite some time (which anonymous did not mention). In fact I do not recall the last time I was there.
He claims to have confided to his Pastor and asks for forgiveness and understanding for his “shortcomings” as a tempted man.
While on the face of it this “confession” may put this to rest, I’m frankly not impressed. First of all, in the discussion when this arose this week, Steve aka JoeCool18 flat out denied the profile was his. It appears his “confession” only came about after I clearly showed this was a lie. Furthermore, if anyone cares to look on the WSG (not recommended for the easily offended and requires registering) you will find he made 134 postings there under the “JoeCool18” nickname starting August 5, 2006 and continuing through to March 5, 2007. He then apparently switched to another nickname, Steve411 (this was supplied by the anonymous commentator and admitted to by Steve) who made a further 29 postings between March 7, 2007 and July 5, 2007. The anonymous commentator implied that he posted under at least one other name – his real one – and through a little extra sleuthing and with a rather large hint left by the commentator, I’m fairly confident I’ve worked that out too. For obvious reasons I won’t mention his name here, but that poster posted on October 4, 2007 – a little over 2 months ago! To be honest I wouldn’t be surprised if that was an accidental posting (using your real name?!?) and Steve has since swapped to another nickname and continued to post there.
In any case, under the account names that we know about , Steve posted more than 160 times in 15 months, with the most recent less than 1 week ago. That’s an average of 3 times a week – not exactly the “brief and infrequent” postings not “for quite some time” that Steve claims.
Furthermore, the postings quite clearly demonstrate that he had visited numerous of these illegal brothels, with quite explicit details and descriptions of the girls working there.
Steve – you are still not being honest with either your readers or quite possibly yourself. Stopping wasting your time with your spurious campaign against Quixtar and get some help.
